PAL Electronic Systems is committed to making its website accessible to people with disabilities and to providing equal access to its information and services. We treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we design, build and update the site.
Accessibility standard
This website was designed and built to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which meets the requirements of Standard IS 5568, in accordance with Regulation 35 of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments to Service) Regulations, 2013.
The site was reviewed with automated accessibility testing against WCAG 2.1 level AA and by manual checks of keyboard use, focus visibility and moving content.
Accessibility features on this site
- Keyboard navigation: every link, button and menu can be reached and used with the keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- Skip to content: the first press of the Tab key shows a link that jumps straight to the main content.
- Pause animations: a button at the bottom-left corner of every page (and next to the slideshow on the home page) pauses all moving content, including the slideshow, videos and animations. Your choice is remembered on your next visit.
- Reduced motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, animations are turned off automatically.
- Readable text and contrast: text and interface elements meet the WCAG AA colour-contrast requirements.
- Structure: pages use headings, landmarks and lists in a logical order, so they can be navigated with screen readers and other assistive technology.
- Text alternatives: informative images have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Zoom and mobile: the site adapts to phones, tablets and desktops, and content remains usable when zoomed up to 200%.
- Language: each page declares its language so assistive technology reads it correctly.
The site works best in the current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
Known limitations
- The background videos on the home page are decorative and have no sound or spoken content; they can be paused with the Pause animations button.
- Links to the App Store and Google Play lead to pages operated by Apple and Google, whose accessibility is outside our control.
- The live chat opens in a window provided by our chat service, CommBox, whose accessibility is outside our control. You can also reach us by email at info@pal-es.com.
- This statement covers the website. The PalGate App and the Web Portal are separate services.
